MOD vs TOD

MOD is a recording standard definition video format for using by SD camcorders like Canon, Panasonic, JVC Everio, etc. MOD files use MPEG2 compression for video and MPEG-1 Audio Layer II compression for the audio track.

TOD is mainly connected to JVC Everio Video Capture File. Generally, TOD file is used as a video file. TOD is used for high definition files. The video frame size in pixels is 1440 x 1080 or 1920 x 1080 and the video frame aspect ratio is 16:9.
